At Philosophie, I partnered with a two-person engineering team to design and build Guide to Uncertain Markets for Capital Group. The internal digital tool was created for financial advisors to help them guide clients through volatile markets and periods of economic uncertainty.
The experience gave advisors practical, data-driven ways to have more confident and empathetic conversations with their clients when facing a predicted market dip or bear market. To support these discussions, we designed immersive, interactive views highlighting past downturns like the Great Depression and Great Recession, showing how long-term discipline historically leads to recovery and growth.
Throughout the guide, advisors could easily surface relevant data visualizations and insights to illustrate key points and reinforce investment principles such as staying the course and maintaining focus on long-term goals. The result was a user-friendly, visually rich experience that balanced emotional reassurance with analytical clarity—helping advisors build client confidence when it mattered most.
